Halloween

Halloween should be my favorite holiday because it was the night I met my future husband. :) He was dressed as a doctor and I was dressed as a ninja turtle. We were eating at the village inn (classy right?) and the story goes from there. But, it's not my favorite holiday. I would have to say my favorite holidays are (in order) : Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter. Why? Because for Christmas we celebrate our Savior's birth. What an amazing thing to celebrate!! Thanksgiving is a time for us to get together with our family and remember how important gratitude is. :) And Easter because we remember our Savior dying for us and celebrate his resurrection! Which is an amazing thing and I am thankful for the Atonement everyday.

But anyways, I hope everyone has an amazing and safe halloween!!! :) what are you guys being anyways??

driving...

So, I was in the car with my mom, and I noticed a man driving his car with his headphones in. This is not the first time I have noticed someone with headphones in their ears while driving a car. HONESTLY??? Okay, so it's one thing if you are using your headphones as a handsfree way to talk on the phone, and for that I commend you. But if you are listening to music through headphones while driving, I want to bonk you in the head!!!! How aware can you be of your surroundings if one of your 5 senses is being blasted with music?? Tell me how a person with headphones in can hear an ambulance driving by, a car horn honk, or a police car siren? I mean, yeah you can see it, but you don't really look for that stuff if you don't hear it first. Don't get me wrong, I blare music in my car when I am driving, but at least i can still hear what is going on around me.

I just don't think it is safe to do what i just talked about....
i had to get it off my chest.
thanks for reading :)

honesty

Okay, so I get home from school yesterday, everything seems great. I then am asked to take our dogs outside to go potty (you have to go with them and take them on a leash so they don't run away) and I walk by my new (well, new to me) car and what do i see? SOMEONE SCRATCHED MY SIDE VIEW MIRROR!!!!!! They did not even leave a note, or anything to apologize...I got so upset. So I decided that the world needs more honest people in it. I am not trying to stand on a soapbox here and seem better than anyone else, but there have been times that i have accidentally done something SO small to my parents cars and I still tell them about it because I feel so bad. Ex. I was parking at school and I accidentally scratched my dad's rim on the curb. As soon as I got home, i fessed up and felt awful. Another ex. I was opening my moms car door and accidently hit something with it, and there was the smalles scratch ever that no one would notice (but me) and i HAD to tell her because i felt so awful...

WHY COULDN'T SOMEONE HAVE JUST DONE THAT WHEN THEY HIT MY CAR??? I mean honestly, an apology is really all I wanted. I wouldn't have even really been that mad at the person.

Oh well, there is nothing I can do now about the situation. I should post a picture of my car haha. It is a 2007 Honda Fit. I named it Spike. Only because it is really ironic. My car is like the size of a mouse. haha

Anyways, I am not trying to seem high and mighty by explaining what I did when i messed up my parents cars, I was just hoping that the person who did it to my car would have the same courtesy. But life isn't fair and never will be. Time to move on!!

Have an amazing blessed day!!!

what?

Every time I click on the "new post" button, all of my thoughts leave my brain. I am not kidding. And it drives me nuts.
Well, I am working on my speech outline at the moment. Haven't gotten very far. I chose my topic, it's about Cheesecake. I know, I know, it sounds lame, and also has nothing to do with the American Obesity epidemic..well, kinda cause it causes it (ps. thank you for the ideas, it made me happy that you guys even commented on my post to try and help me) but I LOVE cheesecake.

So, I am gonna talk about when it originated (ancient greece, like 776 BC) how it came to be the way it is now, how its made, whats in it, etc.

Soooo, I hope it goes well. We will see :)

have a great day everyone!

inspiration

Inspiration really comes from everything. It comes from my husband, my family, my friends blogs that I read, books, technology. I mean...everything. So, because it comes from everything, I need your help.

I have to give an informative speech in like, a week and a half. I NEED to pick a topic ASAP. It basically is a speech where I talk about something and inform the class about something for like 6 minutes. Examples of other peoples speeches: pizza, the art of compliance, fashion at my school, christmas eve traditions, the blues, etc. I do not know what I want to do.

I have had 1 suggestion from a high school friend, but I need some more suggestions. So if you have one, leave a comment with your suggestion... :) Thanks friends!

stressed

I was so stressed about my history Midterm that I took today. I went to class, was freaking out inside, but when I got the test, I knew everything! I am so relieved that it is over, and that I can relax....for a bit. :)

This weekend, Bryan and I are babysitting 2 boys from my ward. They are 8 and 11. They are the sweetest kids and so cute!! We have them from friday afternoon to Sunday evening!! It should be fun!

i suck at this

I really should keep this thing updated more! I swear I am going to try harder.
School:
School is great, I love all my classes. I will tell you why.
Weight training:
-I have a good friend in that class now. I eat lunch with her, it is always fun. She always has interesting stories.
-I feel like I am actually getting stronger, not like superman strong...but you know, I feel like progress is being made.
-I am actually starting to enjoy my workouts. I also might be starting to enjoy running... nothing serious though.
Biology:
-I LOVE SCIENCE. Oh my goodness. I really do.
-I am getting good grades, like WAY better than when I was at BYU, so I feel pretty good about myself.
-I am enjoying learning about DNA synthesis and protein synthesis.
-But this love for science does NOT mean I am going to change my major to biology. no freaking way.
History:
-I have always enjoyed history. So you know, it's a fun class for me.
-My teacher loves me, we talked for like 10 minutes after class because she overheard me saying that I was married. She was married at 15...CRAZY! Oh and she likes hockey.
-But just because she likes me does not mean that her tests will be easy. I have a test in this class this thursday...kinda worried.
Health and Fitness:
-well...this class, I could do with out. really really boring.
Speech Class:
-I HATE THIS CLASS. But one of my best friends from high school is in it with me, so it isnt too bad.
-I HATE PUBLIC SPEAKING, and i have to speak in this class....
-IT IS A REQUIRED CLASS...LAME-O. Oh well, my teacher is awesome though.

Life in general is great! I think i have finally decided my major to be Exercise Science. And I am so pumped to finally kinda know what I want to do with my life...school wise.

Also ps. I scared Hilary Collins really bad this week. really funny. :)
ALSO PS. I wanna come see hilly give her farewell talk. I swear I am trying to figure out a way to get there.

General conference was this weekend. Absolutely fabulous. I love hearing such amazing messages of love, guidance, and direction. Our Prophet Thomas S. Monson is so amazing and I love him so much! I also love the apostles as well. I just love church in general. :)

That's all for now folks.
