no subject

I can never think of a title for these things...seriously. Cause if I think of a title, I feel i have to confine my post to that title...and I like writing whatever comes to my head, so here it goes!

We went to Utah last weekend, where we got to see my family and friends! And we got my winter clothing, which was needed this week!! It was so great to see my family! Seriously, they are so goofy and fun! And they make me happy! And it was SO great to see my friends! That reunion was so much fun. It was great having girl talk and just being together! I want to do that again!!!!

It has been freezing here lately! But it is warm this weekend!!! Which we are so excited about!

OH YEAH! Bryan had his first hockey game last night with his new team!! They won the game! And Bryan scored a goal!!! I was so proud of him haha, seriously. And his brother and dad play on the team as well! It was really fun to watch my husband play my favorite sport! lol, it also made him more attractive....lol. Im a loser, its cool.

And it was fun, I watched the game with my sister-in-laws hubby, Eric! Which was really fun! We talked the whole game and I got to know him better as a person! We talked about church, kids, how we met our spouses, life, basically everything. But it was really cool. oh, and when bryan scored his goal....Eric flashed him...it was hilarious.

Bryan and I love being married. We have learned SO much in just this short amount of time so far, its crazy to think what the future has in store!!!

Conference! and what bugs me at work

-when i call someone to give them hours, and they don't call back.

well, that is the only thing that bugs me. haha. It is actually really great! I get to see bryan whenever I walk to the bathroom...and for those of you who know me....that is multiple times a day because my bladder is so small...lol.

So, Bryan and I have to give a talk in church on Oct. 25th....not looking forward to that. We don't know what our topic is yet. But, it would be awesome if we were supposed to talk about conference because, conference was AMAZING.

I think our favorite talk was by well... we had a few. First fave, David A. Bednar, he talked about how we need to express and show people that we love them. Not just in words, but in actions as well. And also that we need to consistantly show it. Also, he talked about sharing our testimony with the ones we love, and that we shouldn't ever feel awkward or embarassed to do it either. One thing he said that I really think is true and that we all could work on is this "What we know is not always reflected in what we do." Like, we may say stuff that we know, but we need to show that we know it too by being Christlike.

We also loved Dieter F. Uchtdorf's talk. He said that of all the things that we want to be known for, for being members of the church, it should be for being disciples of Christ. And we do that by keeping the commandments. And by loving others. He said that love should be the center of everything we do in our family, in our church callings, and in our livelihood. And my personal favorite quote "Love should be our walk and our talk". He then said that love is the power that initiates friendship, tolerance, civility, and respect.

Another fave quote from his talk: "We need to love God, for what we love determines what we seek. What we seek determines what we think and do. And what we think and do determines who we are and what we become."

One more thing he said that we loved: "Because God is love, the closer we are to Him, the more love we have for Him. Love is the measure of our faith."

I think that the main points of conference were: love, spiritual promptings, becoming closer to Christ, and more Christlike.

We loved conference. It was so uplifting and filled our home with the Spirit. :)

work partners

Bryan and I are now work partners. Kind of. Basically, we just work for the same company. He deals with computers, finances, and people, as for me, I am still learning what I do. But it pretty much is great! The people I work with are so nice and funny. And they treat me pretty well. But...I am scared of my boss....because I have no idea if she is being serious, or joking with me...and that is kind of scary right now. And I think every time she yells my name to just ask me a question...I pee a little. But seriously.

Bryan and I have a new obsession: Flight of the conchords. If you have never seen an episode...wow, you better go watch some. it is so hilarious. Watch this clip, we about peed our pants. hahahaha

This show makes us happy. :)

Oh yeah, so, we are going to Utah on Oct 9thish...My parents will be there :) And Ashleigh has a solo so we get to see that! I am also hoping to see my friends! That would be awesome!!!

weekend report

This week was pretty great! I got a job at the same place that Bryan works at, so we can ride together!! Same hours too!! I think I am going to like the job! The people there are so nice, I mean, Bryan works there, and his parents too!! :) I started on thursday but I haven't done anything that my job entails yet.

On thursday at work, I read a 208 page policy handbook....boring. haha But on friday, I went out with someone who does home care for the elderly and watched that. In order to do that on friday, I woke up at 5:50 and at 6:35 Bryan took me to meet the homecare person! It was an early morning for us both!! haha

But I am exciting to delver deeper into the job! Bryan is pretty excited too...;)

We are enjoying our time together, and slowly we are adjusting to living together! :) It is an amazing process.

one month anniversary!

So, yesterday was our one month anniversary!! Holy crap time flies!! Seriously. We couldn't believe how fast this milestone came!!! But to celebrate, Bryan brought me home a white rose! He said, one rose for our one month anniversary!! It was so sweet!! :) I wrote him a little note. haha, not really that great compared to a rose, but hey, i tried and he liked it!!!

We had to go to walmart to get a few things for the house, but after that we went out to dinner! And it was so much fun! We loved spending time together!!!

And of course, to top the night off, we caught the tail end of the Toronto Maple Leafs preseason hockey game, and the Leafs won!!! It was awesome! We would watch hockey right? lol

I will start taking more pictures soon!!! i swear!! But great news!! The job search has ended!! I just got a job working where Bryan works as a scheduler!! My first day is tomorrow!! I will blog back, and tell you how it goes!!!!!

Weekends are fun

This weekend was really fun for Bryan and I. We had our open house and my parents came to town! It was great!! :) So many people came to support Bryan and that was really awesome! I wore my wedding dress there, and that was kind of cool. Even though I start to feel claustrophobic in it sometimes.

We got Bryan's truck fixed this weekend! It needed it bad...it was SO loud. haha. But now it sounds like a beauty, and the AC was fixed as well!! :)

We got my kitchen aid mixer!!! Andwe got our bed all set up and stuff. My parents even went grocery shopping for us. That was flippin awesome.

We keep forgetting to take pictures of our place...partially because I (becca) think that I could always make it look better....so, you know. We will do it this week.

Well, lets see....cooking. ha. ha. ha. We are trying to cook meals...but have not been successful yet. We have made paninis, pizza (frozen), quesadillas (frozen)...and that is about it. lol Oh yeah, one time we had Hungry Man...but that was the first and last time. At that point in time we didnt have our pans or anything yet...so it was a last resort.

Married life

So, we have been married for almost 3 weeks. It is amazing! The honeymoon was so much fun! We went to Cancun! Bryan got sick halfway through with some sort of flu, and he is still getting over his cough. We have been in Canada for a week!!

We moved into our cute basement suite on Saturday!! It has definitely been an adventure setting things up, getting furniture, buying food, and so on. We love our place though!!! :) I will be taking pictures of it soon, and I will post them!

This saturday is our open house here in Lethbridge, Alberta. My parents are coming to it!! They fly in tomorrow!! I am so excited!!

Bryan went back to work this week, so I have been trying to find a way to spend my free time...and boring time. My days crank out like this:

-wake up around 9ish

-eat breakfast

-watch tv for an hour or so

-skype my mom

-take a shower/get ready

-do something with Bryan's mom (on tuesday) or something with his sister (on wednesday)

-clean up around the house

-sit on facebook

- patiently wait for Bryan to get home...

-oh yeah, and job searching.

As you can see it is very eventful. But really, it is. I don't exactly know my way around here at all...so I don't use Bryan's car yet. But eventually I will.

Tonight we are buying Bryan some church pants because his got lost in Tennessee.

Anyways, I need to go get ready...

yet again, i forgot.

But, I go to Canada in 4 days now!! :) I am so excited! Im there for a week!! A WHOLE WEEK!! When I think about that, I feel like I just won the lottery! I also feel like I won the lottery when I think about how lucky I am to have Bryan in my life. I mean, he could have had any girl...but he chose me! Measly old me. ;)

Ummm. planning is going good. i wont go into detail or my head will 'splode. I am boring my self right now. I need something to do. I am hungry. I miss bryan. Im hungry. really hungry.

sorry. i was just typing my thoughts as they came...obviously i am very hungry. i think ill go fix that now.

i completely forgot about this blog

planning a wedding is stressful. But it's weird. i am starting to like things i never used to like...for example, kitchen appliances, plates, towels, cooking things, colors, decorations, and house stuff....its odd. lol But I like it.

Hmm, this summer...oh this summer, I love it. I go to canada to see my lover in 16 days. :) yay. and i get marred in like 2 months almost!!! YAY. I cant wait...seriously.

So this week, where I work, we are moving the whole office to another office. and i have been boxing things, and lifting things. i definitely didnt think that a heavy-weight-moving-woman would have been in my job description, but it is. SURPRISE! lol. oh its great.

I mean, that is definitely a deal breaker. ok not really, because I actually do love my work. Its great!

ok, well right now, my house is pretty much a circus of people. i gotta go, they are talking about me downstairs. BYE

Home

I am HOME!! :) But the sad thing is, is that I miss my friends...SO MUCH. Oh, a girl I know is engaged, that makes three 19 year olds getting married this year. Jess, Rachel, and Rebecca. CRAZY!! But I am really excited for them. Umm, let me just say, that I am really tired...and yeah. But I will write in the blog, it may not be everyday, but i will sure as heck try.
