no subject

I can never think of a title for these things...seriously. Cause if I think of a title, I feel i have to confine my post to that title...and I like writing whatever comes to my head, so here it goes!

We went to Utah last weekend, where we got to see my family and friends! And we got my winter clothing, which was needed this week!! It was so great to see my family! Seriously, they are so goofy and fun! And they make me happy! And it was SO great to see my friends! That reunion was so much fun. It was great having girl talk and just being together! I want to do that again!!!!

It has been freezing here lately! But it is warm this weekend!!! Which we are so excited about!

OH YEAH! Bryan had his first hockey game last night with his new team!! They won the game! And Bryan scored a goal!!! I was so proud of him haha, seriously. And his brother and dad play on the team as well! It was really fun to watch my husband play my favorite sport! lol, it also made him more attractive....lol. Im a loser, its cool.

And it was fun, I watched the game with my sister-in-laws hubby, Eric! Which was really fun! We talked the whole game and I got to know him better as a person! We talked about church, kids, how we met our spouses, life, basically everything. But it was really cool. oh, and when bryan scored his goal....Eric flashed him...it was hilarious.

Bryan and I love being married. We have learned SO much in just this short amount of time so far, its crazy to think what the future has in store!!!

Conference! and what bugs me at work

-when i call someone to give them hours, and they don't call back.

well, that is the only thing that bugs me. haha. It is actually really great! I get to see bryan whenever I walk to the bathroom...and for those of you who know me....that is multiple times a day because my bladder is so small...lol.

So, Bryan and I have to give a talk in church on Oct. 25th....not looking forward to that. We don't know what our topic is yet. But, it would be awesome if we were supposed to talk about conference because, conference was AMAZING.

I think our favorite talk was by well... we had a few. First fave, David A. Bednar, he talked about how we need to express and show people that we love them. Not just in words, but in actions as well. And also that we need to consistantly show it. Also, he talked about sharing our testimony with the ones we love, and that we shouldn't ever feel awkward or embarassed to do it either. One thing he said that I really think is true and that we all could work on is this "What we know is not always reflected in what we do." Like, we may say stuff that we know, but we need to show that we know it too by being Christlike.

We also loved Dieter F. Uchtdorf's talk. He said that of all the things that we want to be known for, for being members of the church, it should be for being disciples of Christ. And we do that by keeping the commandments. And by loving others. He said that love should be the center of everything we do in our family, in our church callings, and in our livelihood. And my personal favorite quote "Love should be our walk and our talk". He then said that love is the power that initiates friendship, tolerance, civility, and respect.

Another fave quote from his talk: "We need to love God, for what we love determines what we seek. What we seek determines what we think and do. And what we think and do determines who we are and what we become."

One more thing he said that we loved: "Because God is love, the closer we are to Him, the more love we have for Him. Love is the measure of our faith."

I think that the main points of conference were: love, spiritual promptings, becoming closer to Christ, and more Christlike.

We loved conference. It was so uplifting and filled our home with the Spirit. :)

work partners

Bryan and I are now work partners. Kind of. Basically, we just work for the same company. He deals with computers, finances, and people, as for me, I am still learning what I do. But it pretty much is great! The people I work with are so nice and funny. And they treat me pretty well. But...I am scared of my boss....because I have no idea if she is being serious, or joking with me...and that is kind of scary right now. And I think every time she yells my name to just ask me a question...I pee a little. But seriously.

Bryan and I have a new obsession: Flight of the conchords. If you have never seen an episode...wow, you better go watch some. it is so hilarious. Watch this clip, we about peed our pants. hahahaha

This show makes us happy. :)

Oh yeah, so, we are going to Utah on Oct 9thish...My parents will be there :) And Ashleigh has a solo so we get to see that! I am also hoping to see my friends! That would be awesome!!!

weekend report

This week was pretty great! I got a job at the same place that Bryan works at, so we can ride together!! Same hours too!! I think I am going to like the job! The people there are so nice, I mean, Bryan works there, and his parents too!! :) I started on thursday but I haven't done anything that my job entails yet.

On thursday at work, I read a 208 page policy handbook....boring. haha But on friday, I went out with someone who does home care for the elderly and watched that. In order to do that on friday, I woke up at 5:50 and at 6:35 Bryan took me to meet the homecare person! It was an early morning for us both!! haha

But I am exciting to delver deeper into the job! Bryan is pretty excited too...;)

We are enjoying our time together, and slowly we are adjusting to living together! :) It is an amazing process.

one month anniversary!

So, yesterday was our one month anniversary!! Holy crap time flies!! Seriously. We couldn't believe how fast this milestone came!!! But to celebrate, Bryan brought me home a white rose! He said, one rose for our one month anniversary!! It was so sweet!! :) I wrote him a little note. haha, not really that great compared to a rose, but hey, i tried and he liked it!!!

We had to go to walmart to get a few things for the house, but after that we went out to dinner! And it was so much fun! We loved spending time together!!!

And of course, to top the night off, we caught the tail end of the Toronto Maple Leafs preseason hockey game, and the Leafs won!!! It was awesome! We would watch hockey right? lol

I will start taking more pictures soon!!! i swear!! But great news!! The job search has ended!! I just got a job working where Bryan works as a scheduler!! My first day is tomorrow!! I will blog back, and tell you how it goes!!!!!
